Since D4DX deals in digital services, "Shipping" refers to the deployment process, and "Exchange" refers to the post-delivery revision and amendment process.
1. Service Delivery (Deployment/Shipping)
- Delivery Method: Services are delivered digitally. "Delivery" is the action of deploying the final approved software, website, or mobile application to the designated live environment (e.g., Client's server, App Store, Play Store) or handing over the final source code and assets to the Client.
- Acceptance: The Client must formally sign off on the final product within the acceptance testing period defined in the SOW. Upon sign-off, the project is considered fully delivered.
2. Exchange (Warranty and Revisions)
- Warranty Period: D4DX typically provides a limited bug-fix warranty period (e.g., 30-90 days) following final deployment. During this time, D4DX will correct any functional defects or bugs found in the code that directly contradict the agreed-upon SOW specifications, at no additional charge.
- Exclusions from Warranty ("Exchange"): The warranty does not cover:
- Issues caused by third-party services, plugins, hosting environment changes, or code modifications made by the Client or a third party.
- Requests for new features, design changes, or scope modifications.
- Scope Changes: Any requests for significant modifications, additions, or changes to the functionality after the final SOW sign-off will be treated as a new project scope and will require a separate Change Request (CR), new pricing, and a formal agreement.
